Higher error correction makes the code denser but still readable when part of it is covered.

One design preset changes the shape, colors and frame at once

  1. Enter your link‘URL’ is selected from the start, so type an address in ‘Website URL’ and your own code replaces the ‘Example’ preview.
  2. Pick a design presetPick one of the 10 ‘Design presets’, and to add a logo use ‘Choose a file’ in the ‘Logo’ tab.
  3. Check the stampAfter each change the stamp says ‘Checking’; half a second after you stop, it reads the image back and shows ‘Scans’, ‘Check’ or ‘No scan’.
  4. Save or print‘Download PNG’ saves at 1024px by default, ‘Other files’ offers JPG, SVG, PDF and EPS, and ‘Print a sticker sheet (many on A4)’ puts several codes on one page.

It makes static codes only, so the link lives inside the image and keeps working even if Staycode stops. Every code is read back right away to check that it scans.

QR standard
Codes follow ISO/IEC 18004 Model 2, versions 1 to 40, in byte mode (UTF-8), so accents, Korean and emoji go in as they are.Staycode ‘Standards’
Error correction

WiFi format

Print size
For close-up scans the code should be at least 2 cm (0.8 in) wide, and as a rule of thumb it scans from about 10 times its width. Sizes in PDF and EPS files measure the pattern without the quiet zone or frame.QR Code Generator blog: Minimum QR code size (rule of thumb) · Checked Oct 14, 2026
Scan check
